DULUTH, Ga. – AGCO, a global manufacturer and distributor of agricultural machinery and precision farming technology, announced on May 2 that it has acquired JCA Industries, a leader in the development of autonomous software for agricultural machinery, implement controls and electronic systems.
JCA, based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, specializes in the design of electronic systems and the development of software to automate and control agricultural equipment. JCA’s path planning, sensor fusion and remote control software products are used by original equipment manufacturers today. In addition, JCA serves some of the world’s leading manufacturers of agricultural equipment as a supplier of electronic designs and software for the development of autonomous machines.
