We are growing and looking for an experienced Technical Leader with significant Ruby On Rails experience to join our consulting team as a Senior Ruby on Rails Software Developer.

You will work directly with clients on projects as a Senior Ruby on Rails Software Developer, leading by example with your communication and championing the way we work as consultants, especially in difficult situations. You will work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Developers and Customers to help resolve issues.

You will deliver high-quality, well-tested software, coach customer and thought-bot engineering teams in software best practices, and advise on product prioritization, agile process, team culture, and communication.

During the investment period, you will contribute to the wider technology community, to Thoughtbot and to yourself. The majority of thinking robots open source work and blog content is the result of an investment of time.

This is a fully remote position on the Boost team, which focuses on integrating with technical teams to resolve technical debt, implement process improvements, and coach and upskill client teams.

Thoughtbot is an entirely remote company. Because we are looking for teammates who overlap the working hours of our clients’ teams, this is a remote position available to anyone across the Americas (UTC-3 to UTC-10).

Salary

Salary and benefits vary by location and country. The salary range in the United States for this role is: $131,100 – $153,900.

Benefits vary by location. For US-based team members, Thoughtbot pays at least 90% of medical insurance premiums for individuals, 80% for their families for all medical plans, and 100% of the premium for employees and their families for our basic dental plan and visual coverage.
