Top Software house in Durban is looking for a Senior Developer to join their team. You will be part of an agile development team and will have a dual responsibility role of being responsible for all deployment functions and assisting in the development of software applications.
You will have the experience of working as part of a team of highly skilled developers, business analysts and testers to produce and publish .Net applications for blue chip companies. The developer will also have past experience building CI/CD pipelines to ensure effective and efficient code releases.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain web applications using C#, .NET as well as other technologies such as Blazor, JavaScript and Microsoft Azure.
- Work closely with the Development Manager, Product Owner and Business Analyst to formulate ideas for software solutions to meet customer needs.
- Write technical documentation when required.
- Assist in implementing new features and improving existing software functionality.
- Help ensure high performance, always online and scalability of systems.
- Ensure a high level of application coding and design.
- Enhance and enhance the existing release and release management process focusing on CI/CD best practices to ensure an agile approach to delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps tools and techniques.
- Automate and improve development and release cycles.
- Plan and estimate development efforts.
Technical knowledge and skills:
- 5 years of professional experience as an application developer using various technology stacks.
- Experience working in an agile development team.
- Azure DevOps should include a good understanding of Azure Pipelines, Repos, and Artifacts or other equivalent DevOps tools.
- GIT
Minimum of 5 years of recent professional experience with:
- ASP.NET
- VS#
- SQL Server and working with large volumes of data
- RESTful and Soap APIs
- HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Minimum of 2 years of recent professional experience with:
- ASP.NETCore
- Coding experience using Blazor web UI and frontend frameworks
- At least 5 years of experience in database design
- Experience working with Atlassian Jira
