Global online vehicle auction company Copart and online title processing software developer CHAMPtitles have introduced an automated digital platform for car sellers, including insurance companies.
The companies say the platform reduces the need for manual processing of paper and mail vehicle titles.
Copart President Jeff Liaw said the company strives to provide industry-leading services to its buyers and sellers.
“That’s why we’ve aligned with CHAMPtitles to deliver a platform that delivers accelerated title turnaround times and reduced claims handling costs,” Liaw said in a press release.
CHAMPtitles is focused on bringing vehicle title processing into the digital age, said Shane Bigelow, CEO of CHAMPtitles.
“We are thrilled to offer a transformative approach to securities processing with Copart,” Bigelow said in a press release.
Copart said CHAMPtitles is currently used in states where the service is licensed. It is expected to be implemented soon in other states.
In other Copart news, the company said it has added a new location in Mallorca, Spain.
“We are delighted to open Copart’s seventh plant in Spain, to serve our customers,” said Spain Managing Director Santiago Zamit.
The facility is located in the Balearic Islands of the Mediterranean.
Copart buyers in Spain can download the Copart mobile app for anytime access to vehicle inventory. To view store contact information, sales listings and inventory, visit Copart Majorca page.
“We are delighted to continue to grow our presence in Spain by opening our site in Mallorca.” Liaw said.
